Common questions
How do I get started?
Open the Chef tab and type what you're craving โ "something cozy with
chicken", "plan my week", "a smoothie with mango". The chef finds real
recipes and composes ideas from them. If you already know the dish,
use the Search tab.
Are the chef's recipes made up?
No โ every idea is grounded in real recipes retrieved from our corpus
of 4.3 million, and the composing happens on your device with Apple's
on-device model. Generated recipes include macro estimates and a
nutrition label. On-device generation requires iOS 26; on earlier
versions the chef shows the matching real recipes directly.
Why is a recipe in a foreign language?
Recipeas pulls from recipe sites all over the world. You can search in
any language, and results display in your phone's language using
on-device translation. In the detail view, tap "Original Version" to
flip back to the source language.
How does the pantry / grocery list work?
Tell the chef what your kitchen usually has, or check items off a
grocery list โ both feed My Kitchen (under the Saved tab), so future
suggestions lean on what you actually have. Tapping "I cooked this"
keeps a cooked history.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts, no logins, and no subscription. The app is
fully usable on first launch.
How do I report a problem?
Use "Report an issue" in the app, or email us โ include the recipe
link if it's about a specific recipe.
Where's the data come from?
Recipes are sourced from publicly available recipe sites. Each recipe
card shows the source site and links to the original page.
